The Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce is a membership driven organization, striving to enhance the quality of Brunswick County by providing leadership through strengthening and promoting business, industry and tourism.
In 1976, the Chamber was established as the South Brunswick Islands Chamber of Commerce and had 38 charter members. Helen Pope, wife of one of the charter members, coined the phrase “South Brunswick Islands”.
With the goal of better serving the growing membership, the Chamber’s Board of Directors voted to change the name to the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce in 2002. So if you're looking for the Calabash Chamber of Commerce, Sunset Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Ocean Isle Beach Chamber of Commerce, Shallotte Chamber of Commerce or the Holden Beach Chamber of Commerce, we can provide that information. The Chamber is now over 30 years strong and continues to be dedicated to creating a premier place to live, work and play.
